What is the wall like?
Historically this area was a quarry, but in recent years permission has been gained to adapt it into a climbing zone.
The Via Ferrata allows a comfortable introduction to climbing - either climb using the metal steps, or make it more challenging using the natural features of the rock. Routes are bolted, and there are opportunities to lead or top-rope routes, depending on preference and ability. The climbs vary in their difficulty, to allow your climbing to progress.
Routes on the wall are gradually being developed, with plenty of variation available to regular climbers. On some of the routes, it's possible to belay your second from the top of the climb, giving the experience of more traditional climbing as you might encounter in places such as the Dewerstone.
